Miss Matched Libido

When in a Relationship - HSDD may be called Miss Matched Libidos

When in a relationship one partner may feel there is something wrong with their level of desire, because it differs greatly from their partner's level of desire/libido.

This does not necessarily mean that one partner has Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder, or that one might be oversexed or may have a sex addiction. However it can cause distress in the relationship, it may lead to resentment and it may cause difficulties in sustaining a mutually satisfying relationship.

Definition of Miss Matched Libido

Mismatched LibidoMiss Matched Libido is also known as Sexual Desire Incompatibility. This is defined as a difference between two partners in their level of sexual desire. One partner typically places excessive demands on the other, causing that person to feel smothered by the other and unable to meet consistent demands for sex. This can cause personal and interpersonal distress and result in relationship difficulties and/or unsatisfaction.
